"Discover
Scuba" is a one-day program designed to permit those individuals who
have never previously experienced scuba-diving to actually go diving under
the direct supervision of an instructor, in ideal conditions. The course is
comprised of: classroom, confined water, and an actual scuba-diving segment.

To
be conducted over a period of between 3 1/2 and 4 days under the supervision
of an instructor, the course involves the completion of a series of five "modular" classroom and associated confined water skill
development sessions and four structured "experience" scuba-dives,
the successful candidate will be awarded the prestigious PADI Open Water license.
Individuals successfully under-taking their full PADI Open Water licensing programs
while aboard will automatically qualify to join the other of our
licensed diver-guests during the remainder of their dive-cruise diving
activities - equipment to be provided by Hooked on Diving at no additional
charge.

(Prerequisite):
Candidates must have previously successfully completed both the knowledge
and skill segments of an Open Water Certification Course and must supply
Hooked On Diving Inc. a
"signed" and "dated"
referral
letter from their course instructor attesting to same. Then, under the
direct supervision of a Hooked on Diving instructor, the "four experience
dives" segment can be completed while aboard. A review of the
knowledge and skills previously learned will also be done over the duration of this
two day
course. NB: Guests who opt for Hooked on Diving's all-inclusive
equipment-rental
package
will automatically qualify for a $40.00 US "Referral Course"
rebate.

Open Water:

Open Water certification. An extension to the fundamental
knowledge and skills acquired during the Open Water Course, the Advanced
Open Water program will provide
you with
hands-on experience within "three" core "specialty dive"
areas: Navigation - both natural and with compass, night diving, and deep
diving. The candidate will then select two additional
"specialty dives." (Chosen from the associated listing) ( NB: If
the underwater photography specialty is selected, there will be a surcharge
of $30.00 US to cover, use of the camera, batteries for the strobe, one roll
of color film, and E-6processing. The underwater video specialty incurs a surcharge
