Enjoy the fun and adventure of
V.I.P. class live-aboard scuba diving,
(4-5) dives daily in the pristine Caribbean waters of sunny Belize.
Plan to experience the thrill of a full 6 days and 7 nights* aboard
our fully equipped live-aboard. From its point of departure in either Belize city or
Punta Gorda our 175’ luxury dive-yacht will closely follow the abysmal drop
off that longitudinally skirts the eastern boundary of Belize's barrier reef. We
will carry you to selected coral gardens, wall and wreck dive sites
situated along Belize’s outer barrier reef, the second largest such formation
in the world. Aside from visiting well known dive areas such as; Turneffe
Islands, Glovers Reef, and Lighthouse Reef, (The Great Blue Hole), you will also
experience diving at some of the more remote southern cayes which offer the more
adventurous divers the possibility of diving with large pelagic such as Manta
Rays and Whale Shark. Not only are Belize's most southerly reefs a photographers
paradise, but this world class diving will astound both the experienced and
novice diver alike. Our
live-aboard has been specially designed and equipped to provide top-notch service to groups
from
sixteen to up to a maximum of twenty-six divers. Fifteen double occupancy
air-conditioned staterooms have been installed on its mid-deck. Each of which
with it's own spacious full private bathroom with hair dryer and bio-degradable
toiletries, Queen sized lower and Twin-sized upper
(fold-away) bunk beds, shipboard closed-circuit and satellite TV, shipboard
telephone with direct dial satellite and landline access, internet and e-mail
service connection for a computer, and a twenty-inch brass porthole to frame the
spectacular ocean view from the cabin. A very spacious, fully air-conditioned forward observation lounge and bar are located on the main deck as well as the vessel's air-conditioned main dining room which has a capacity to simultaneously seat up to 32 people. Our galley along with our own gourmet chef are designed and finely tune to produce truly delectable treats in limitless supply. The
upper deck
boasts a large partially covered upper sun deck where between dives you will
find sunbathing, lively dive discussions or
simply relaxing with a cool tropical drink is the pleasure of choice.
Everyone is invited to partake in our daily "open-air"
BBQ lunches.
Located
on the lower deck is our fully equipped 35mm photo lab with daily E-6
processing. In addition, a well appointed video lab with adjacent viewing room /
classroom comfortably seating up to 3O persons is available for PADI courses and
special lectures or briefings. Located forward of the passengers cabins on the mid-deck level is the heart of the diving operations. This both spacious and fully equipped facility boasts 2 on-board fully automatic air-compressors, a 30,000 Cu. Ft. air-bank with associated nitrox services, 84 aluminum 80 Cu Ft. cylinders, (60 air and 24 nitrox dedicated), a fully stocked rental and repair facility, dedicated camera tables, fresh-water showers, passenger equipment drying and storage racks and separate equipment and camera "fresh-water" rinse tanks. Weights and belts are also supplied to all divers. We carry portable life-support oxygen, first-aid supplies and safety decompression bars with auxiliary air and nitrox. The dive deck has easy access to either of the vessel's two sliding thru hull water tight "exit doors" allowing direct access to the auxiliary dive boats. Loading of the Reef Rovers is accomplished by a folding aluminum dive platform and gangway system. In our effort to maintain and preserve the pristine coral reef, Hooked on diving uses permanently installed moorings at the selected dive sites. This eliminates the need to use anchors which cause irreparable damage to the coral. While diving can easily be accomplished directly from the main vessel via it's two ( port and starboard) folding aluminum platform and ladder systems, We also carry two, 28 ft aluminum twin-diesel jet powered auxiliary dive-boats. Reef Rovers 1&2, will each simultaneously carry groups of between 6 and 12 divers at speeds up to thirty miles per hour to visit either more remote or alternative "specialty" dive-sites. Individual dive-groups size averages six to eight persons, this means that irregardless of the number of divers aboard, Individuals will never experience anything close to "cattle-boat" diving conditions of some other operations! This type of operation advantageously permits us to as much as possible, satisfy the individual diver's diving tastes. Each of Reef Rovers are specially equipped with tank racks, integrated seating and stowage, large swim platforms and recovery ladder. Because our passengers safety and comfort is of prime importance to us all boats are also equipped with portable oxygen and first-aid supplies as well as with a rigid safety decompression bar with surface supplied auxiliary air and nitrox second stages. Reef Rovers carry ship to ship communications, a sun cover and ice chests serving between dive snacks and cold drinks. There is also an auxiliary high speed 22 ft. Zodiac available to aid in any emergency situation. In order to maximize diver safety, Hooked on diving requires that all divers make use of a submersible dive computer. Hooked On Diving will supply "complimentary" computers for use by any diver not so equipped during their respective live-aboard dive-vacation. Our staff will also do it's utmost to accommodate any and all divers wishing to improve their respective skills levels and relative certifications while on-board. To this end we offer a full range of PADI certification courses from Discover Scuba through to Assisting Instructor, including a variety of specialty certifications ranging from night diver to underwater photo video specialist. In addition to dive-cruising between
Belize City and Punta Gorda, in the specific case of our 9 day and 10 night
dive-excursions, Hooked on Diving is now in the process of positioning itself to
be able to offer dive-groups the possibility of their electing to expand their
dive-cruise itinerary to include either a swing north to visit selected
dive-sites between Ambergris Cay and Mexico's "Banco
Chinchorro"
for wreck diving or south to include dives in Roatan, Honduras. However, in
addition to a surcharge to cover the cost of the additional fuel required for us
to undertake such "special" cruises, in the event of our
guests opting for such a cruise, each would also be responsible for the payment
of any sundry charges. such as: visas and permits. More info to follow. Our
all inclusive $2100.00USD price includes:
* Alls costs and package descriptions are subject to change without notice.
