SMOKING POLICY:     

No smoking of any kind is permitted aboard any of Hooked on Diving's vessels, except in designated outdoor smoking areas. For your protection all interior spaces are equipped with highly sensitive smoke detectors that will alarm in the presence of minute amounts of smoke. Also, please be courteous and respectful to others by not smoking during dive briefings or any other common gatherings of clients and /or staff. 

CONTRABAND:

The possession, use, and or sale of any controlled substance aboard any of Hooked on diving's vessels or any other property owned or operated by Hooked on Diving, is strictly prohibited. Hooked on Diving's officers, directors, staff and agents subscribe to the US Coast-Guard's "zero-tolerance" policy." We will report any and all such activity to Belizean authorities where penalties for such can be very severe. Hooked on Diving and it's staff, officers and agents will not accept any responsibility for any person(s) encountering any difficulties with local authorities as the result of their involvement in illegal activity.

PROHIBITED EQUIPMENT:

Belizean law dictates that nothing can be taken from the coral reefs therefore, any and all game taking equipment is completely prohibited.

CRUISE  CANCELLATION:

While Hooked on Diving will always do it's utmost to  follow the advertised cruise schedule and itinerary, Weather conditions or other "acts of God" may cause a cruise to be delayed, altered or cancelled. Such action or decision is at the sole discretion of the Captain. Neither Hooked on Diving or any of it’s employees or affiliates will be held liable for  not meeting the advertised cruise schedule itinerary due to weather or any other conditions, and therefore no credit, reimbursement or refund will be issued.

PAYMENT:

Payment for any and all goods and services purchased while aboard must be made in full before arriving in port for final disembarkation. We accept: American Express, Visa, MasterCard, travelers cheques, and cash. We cannot accept personal cheques.

DIVING ELIGIBILITY:

In advance of any guest's participation in any Hooked on Diving’s activities, each participant must provide our dive-staff with acceptable proof of certification and relative experience. (recognized C-card and log-book), In addition, each must then read and endorse a legally binding waiver which documents their acknowledge and understanding of the inherent risks involved in their participation in diving activities whether specific or in general. This waiver expressly releases Hooked on Diving, it’s officers, directors, agents, staff or affiliates from any claims, causes of action, responsibility or liability whatsoever, resulting from, or connected with their respective participation in any incident, accident or mishap.

All persons intending to participate in diving activities with Hooked on Diving, must first show proof of valid diving insurance such as DAN (Diving Accident Network) or equivalent.

While Hooked on Diving will always do it's utmost to assure each and every diver's safety, by our: providing divers with dive computers, conducting pre-dive information and condition briefings, and by our as much as possible monitoring all diving activities, the fact remains that each diver must limit their diving to that consistent with their respective level of training and experience and that each is also ultimately responsible for the monitoring and control of their individual in-water diving profiles!  

It is your responsibility in determining  your medical and physical fitness to dive or to take part in any other activities during this cruise and/or land based activities. All activities are undertaken at your own risk without any assurance from Hooked on Diving. If you have any questions concerning your medical or physical fitness to dive or your ability take part in any such activities, please consult your physician.

If for any reason, should any perspective guest not be willing to personally assume all such risks whether known or otherwise, we respectfully suggest that they simply seek out an alternative live-aboard diving services provider.    

GRATUITIES

Gratuities are not include in the price of your dive vacation package. We prefer that our guests reward our crew based on their level of service and performance. If the crew performs to your expectations, and you wish to reward them, may we suggest that a gratuity of approximately 10% of your package price would be considered normal for a live-aboard dive boat. Payment of gratuities is entirely at the discretion of the guest(s). The generally accepted method is to pool any collected gratuities and divide these equally among the crew, excluding the owners, for it is through a combined effort of the entire crew that we are able to provide you with the luxury service that you so deserve.
